I feel very fortunate and privileged to admit that I a great many options to choose from when it comes to older figures that I admire. The person who said that great age comes with great wisdom as well wasn't all off- as the majority of the youth tend's not to share the sentiments. Age very often comes with experiences that shape us, whatever oath we may be on. One of the people who, in my opinion, grew to be a wonderful inspiration to me- and so many others- is my high school English teacher. Amongst the many elderly people I know, she seems to be the most content in her place in life. Not the sort of contentment in which you're comfortable remaining stationary on a rocking chair or the like. No, she is the type of woman who is ever-progressing and learning from her environment in any way she can. She would instil in us, her students, a passion to understand and behave as though we understand. She never failed to emphasise the importance of good stature, through subtle but refined and effective ways. She would often tell us stories that would ultimately have useful morals during class time. In those seemingly inconsequential and enjoyable stories, she would essentially outline a few key factors that we as human beings and students should hold ourselves to. She was a great mentor and seemed to genuinely care where we got in life- that was made apparent by the invaluable advise she offered us concerning our next step in the journey of our careers. She will always be an inspiration to me and countless others.
