Extreme sports such as skydiving and skiing are very dangerous and should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

Analytically speaking, sporting activities and their impact often remain in the heated discussion of many. Against the backdrop of this, I tend to disagree with the statement that any activities which threaten human lives, including risky sports, should be avoided.

What lies behind the notion that sports with high risks should be evaded by all means? The high significance of human lives is surely one explanation. Theoretically, life is fundamental to all human achievements and its protection is, undoubtedly, of prime importance. Any fun activity – for instance, unnecessary jumping from planes or high altitudes – jeopardize existence, and its advocacy is nothing more than insanity.

Saving financial resources is another plausible explanation. In fact, most sports pros spend a hefty amount while taking precautionary measures and collecting means for such expeditions. Mountaineers often raise funds before climbing up the famous peaks of the world. If costing of precious lives is calculated, pricing touches the apex. Hence, human capital could be spent on safe games or other forms of entertainment.

Conversely, daring activities remain a source of courage, test human abilities to their limits, and prepare them for the toughest life challenges. Any restriction could create a barrier in the process of showcasing human potential. However, where high risk is involved, taking necessary precautions could subside the risk factor. For instance, the presence of doctors and rescue teams where give confidence to the professional, on the same page, such steps could save precious lives.

In the culmination of the above discussion, we may assert that despite experiencing thrill and excitement in risk sports, governing bodies should discourage them by taking solid measures because nothing is above human lives and such activities often tempt children to do dangerous things and bring their lives to the stake.
