Dear Miss Adler,

I am writing to you with regard to my impending transition to the apartment you've been so kind as to rent out to me. I regret to inform you that said transition has been delayed quite a bit due to unforeseen circumstances.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to move into the apartment at the agreed date- which is ten days from now because of a number of unexpected issues at home. As you know, I live about four hours away from you; meaning I'd need transport for both myself and my luggage to get there. Well, last night, our car got stolen, which has put quite a hamper on the necessary tasks to be done at home.On top of that, we're struggling quite a lot- finance-wise, which, by the way, led me to search for jobs in different cities. I've made do with a couple of jobs I can do from home, for now. These jobs are much-needed, considering my second semester's fee is a tad overdue, grocery expenses, saving up for new transport etc.

Additionally, my mum's got a job as an Islamic teacher, so she has to travel a short distance and is far too occupied with work to be able to cook and complete other chores at home; which leaves it upon me to complete the above-mentioned tasks. I am backed into a corner; too many things to sort out over here.

I truly hope the situation will be resolved soon. I'll let you know once I have updates on the situation and on when I'll be able to move in.

Kind regards,
