Dear Mr Arthur,

I am writing to you with regard to lost property- my wedding ring, to be precise- during travel that I'd like your insurance firm to cover the cost of.

My husband and I had gone to Mauritius for our vacation, our stay lasting two weeks. My husband had rented a lovely hotel on the beachside for our stay there.mWe'd paid visits to various family members we rarely see, considering we stay in South Africa and them in Mauritius. I loved everything about the place; the language, the people, the food and so much more. We'd participated in a number of outdoor activities from sailing to hiking and even bungee jumping, to my utter horror. I'd kept my wedding ring on my finger the entire time, as I never remove it. Consequently, while surfing, my ring got lost in the water after, I assume, getting tugged off by the cord attached my surfboard. My wedding ring was a gold, plain-looking (as I prefer) band of twenty-two carats. I would like your firm to cover the cost of that lost treasure- which was immensely valuable in every way- considering it cannot be recovered.

I hope to hear back from you soon.

Yours faithfully,
