Response 1

Every soldier and every veteran can be described as a brave human being that surrenders several privileges to fight for their country, exhibiting an immensely admirable amount of bravery and self-sacrifice. Do women not possess the capacity for such? I believe they do.

Some may argue that due to the smaller, relatively less brawny frame of women that they are less suited for what being a soldier may require them to do. Also, according to society's norms, women are meant to stay at home and raise children while their men go to fight the wars on their behalf. It is a common belief that women are meant for less tasking roles in life; less physical and less intellectual due to their rather volatile nature.

Arguably, a woman's role in life is no less tasking on or off the battlefield. Joining the army may be a desperate reach to provide for their family due to not having men to provide or go to war instead, for some women. One need not be a feminist to comprehend the fact that women are no less brave or patriotic than any man. Besides, the roles played by women in any society that include raising children are far more challenging than a layperson would believe. Physicality and intellect play a large part in said roles, as well.

In conclusion, women should not be dissuaded from joining the military of any sort, for they are perfectly capable of making excellent soldiers.
