When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the statement?

At the backdrop of modern technology, the end of conventional ways is inevitable. While there are some who are still convinced to sustain old traditions, I perceive no significance in such efforts. However, let us embark on the quest to find the reasons why stereotype thinking is deviating folks away from the road to prosperity.

What lies behind the popular ideology that utilizing machines in every walk of life is a guarantee of sustainable life? Brining ease is surely one explanation. In fact, instinctively, humans seek comfort, and this is the fundamental reason behind the advancement of all pure sciences. The second plausible explanation for the unusual inclination of consumers towards technology is gaining more productivity while using machines. Let us take agribusiness: the discoveries of modern machines such as harvesters and drip irrigation; where the annual yield of crops has increased many folds, these inventions save precious time for the farmers.

Now, in response to the question that how significant it is to save old traditions. Advocates and sceptics both concur on one point that everything is in a transitory state. In this way, embracing new technology does not mean the eradication of the old tradition, yet advancement steers us to bring necessary changes in our lives. For instance, the unstoppable growth of the human population demands more productivity which is only possible if we seek new ways of living, instead of sticking with the old customs. Moreover, the major shift in conventional ways of living after the discovery of the internet has become part and parcel of modern life. For this reason, continuing the old convention of posting paper-based letters hardly makes sense to people of intellect.

In the culmination of the above discussion, we may assert that, undoubtedly, machine life is widely known as the end of previous customs. However, this change is pleasant because of the blessing humanity reap, and there is hardly any logical footing that goes in favour of living with outdated standards.
