People buy good products that work, therefore, advertising is unnecessary and is no more than a form of entertainment. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Without any iota of doubt, the integral role of promotional activities is far beyond the general perception that it is a mere tool of entertainment. I go in agreement with this viewpoint; however, let us discuss how significant adverts are for both stakeholders – consumers and sellers.

What lies behind the emerging boom in the advertisement industry? Adding potential buyers is the foremost reason behind the worldwide acknowledgement. As information prevails, probability increases, and hence, sellers grab the attention of more and more buyers. Additionally, It is the scope of branding that Coke, for instance, provides its products in four corners of the world.

From a buyer's perspective, advertisement is a major source of information: first time, diapers are introduced in Pakistan by utilizing the power of promotions, and people learn the utility of this item. This is not the only case, noodles, which are now, a largely consumable item in most underdeveloped states, were first introduced by providing free samples on a large scale. After a few years of its launch, one of the most popular companies, Maggi noodles, had attained its historical selling record.

Conversely, experts through entertainment leave an in-line message for the customers, which motivates them to have the advertised product. In this way, huge business transactions are only achieved by using all means of trade, where the influential role of adverts is meaningful.

In the culmination of the above discussion, we may assert that today, the impact of advertisement is deep on consumers, and it has become part and parcel of modern-day life. Its advantages also go in favour of the end users, as it provides information about the products to buyers and increases the reach of selling items also.
