By the advent of this century, the topic regarding the increase in crime rate attracts our immediate attention because of its universality. There are many reasons for extending social evils such as unemployment, the negative role of media, the lacking focus of parental education on moral values and declining social values. However, by taking some concrete measures on different levels, the frequency of crimes can be controlled. Let us discuss all aspects of the topic under discussion before reaching a conclusion.

Since the dawn of human civilization, criminal activities remain a part of human life. Law enforcement agencies assert hundreds of reasons which are fostering the criminals and extending the trend of crimes in a society. Firstly, both parents and teachers should inculcate their future generation: how to behave with others, and what is right or wrong? Secondly, the unjust attitude of people and fragmentation of a society into social clusters often aggravate social evils. In Pakistan, a high percentage of criminals belong to a social group that is living below the poverty line. Still, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And, factually speaking, one can resolve this issue by taking some measures.

The social catalyst can be subsided if the authorities, families and the elite class - academically strong people - take some initiatives to resolve the ailing effects. The ruling class must facilitate young blood to do some productive activities. Employment, healthy activities and different programs which help the youngsters to develop their cognitive skills could be considered as some positive steps to utilize the energy. Justice, on the other hand, plays a vital role in establishing peace and harmony in a society. A healthy law and order situation in many civilized Western countries is an indicator of this inevitable factor(,) required for social stability.

Driving back home, the last but least unimportant factor is the intellectual development of a nation. States, where the literacy rate is higher, are more stable than other countries of the world.
