You are going on a short course to a training college abroad. It is a college that you have not been to before.

Write a letter to the accommodation officer. In your letter,

  • Give details of your course and your arrival/departure date

  • Explain your accommodation needs

  • Ask for information about getting to and from the college

Response 1:

Dear Mr Alfred,

I am writing to you with regard to your offered accommodations I'll be in need of upon arriving in London.

I will be moving to London in a week's time for a training course I'll be participating in. The training course revolves around art and painting of all sorts. I've joined this course in order to achieve some credit in the art field before embarking on my science degree so that I always have art to fall back on.

That being said, I'll need a bright and airy apartment for artistic purposes. A very large apartment will not be necessary, as it will just be me and I'll only be staying for a month. An apartment with just one bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room will suffice. You shouldn't expect much noise from me, as i doubt I'll invite any company into my lodgings- I won't have much time for socializing, thanks to my course. You can expect me to be home at sundown and out of the apartment shortly after sunrise. You wont have to worry about my meals; I'll be taking care of that myself.

I would highly apreciate it if you'd appoint me a guide for the first five days of my stay in London, as I've never visited there before. I'd also like an inventory on the directions, distance and bus fare to the art studio I'll be attending.

I hope to hear back from you soon.

Kind regards,

Bruce Wayne.
